Yue Yin was a scholar and a teacher and became Chief Clerk to He Miao, the General of Chariots and Cavalry at Luoyang. After He Jin was killed by Qu Mu, his forces, including He Miao, stormed the palace and massacred the eunuchs. Wu Kuang, however, blamed He Miao for the death of He Jin and together with Dong Min he led his men against him. They killed He Miao and with him, his Chief Clerk Yue Yin.
