A leader of a Small Division (xiǎo fāng 小方) was a leader commanding a Division which consisted of 6.000-7.000 men.

Yellow Turban Small Division Leaders[]
When Zhang Jue 張角 and his brothers were preparing for rebellion, they spread their followers of thirty-six Divisions. There were two kind of Divisions; Large Divisions and Small Divisions. Small Divisions consisted of over 6.000-7.000 men and were lead by a Small Division Leader.
Large Division Leader and Small Division Leader were two of the highest ranks in the Yellow Turban army; above them there were only the Zhang brothers.[1]
