Among those interested in the Three Kingdoms Levy is best known for his studies on the Yellow Turbans and their rebellion in 184 A.D.
In 1956 he released the Yellow Turban Religion and Rebellion at the End of Han published in the Journal of American Oriental Society, volume 76. Four years later he released The Bifurcation of the Yellow Turbans in Later Han.
