Guan Ning 關寧 is a fictional character who appears in chapter 28 of the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. He is the brother of Guan Ping and son of Guan Ding.

When Guan Yu fled from Cao Cao and traversed five passes he at one point met with Guan Ding, who introduced him to his two sons Ping and Ning.

When Liu Bei finds out about Guan Yu's whereabouts he sets off to Guan Ding's farm. When Guan Yu introduces Ding's sons to Liu Bei he says:

The sons are Guan Ning, who is a student, and Guan Ping, who is to be a soldier.

Later, Ding proposed to Liu Bei to let Ping follow Liu Bei on his travels, but Liu Bei suggested that he be adopted by Guan Yu. When they left to continue their journey, taking Guan Ping with them, Guan Ding and Guan Ning escorted them a long distance and then returned to their farm.[1]
